Are you looking for an hourly paid job that can be flexible around your other commitments? Come and work for us as a Casual Commis Chef at our Claverton Down campus (BA2 7AY). As a Casual Commis Chef, you will work alongside a team of passionate chefs to deliver high-quality, varied food offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with food preparation and cooking in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Maintaining high standards of food safety, kitchen hygiene and allergen management
  • Supporting daily kitchen operations with professionalism and care
  • Experience working in a commercial kitchen setting
  • Possess solid knife skills and a good understanding of food safety, kitchen hygiene and allergen management
  • Flexibility to work on shifts that could be mornings from 07:00 and evenings to 20:30, weekends & weekdays
  • Available for a minimum of two shifts per week with a start date in March 2026. More availability will be needed during July, a very busy month
  • As well as your skills, we’re interested in you and your personality; we need real team players who are keen to learn
  • A positive attitude, demonstrating an ability to form effective working relationships with other team members
  • The ability to work in a safe environment and protecting others around you
  • You should have a proactive attitude and be prepared to work under pressure in a fast paced, demanding environment

Pay

£12.60 inclusive of holiday pay, which equates to £14.12 per hour.

Additional Information

The positions are on a casual basis and hours will therefore be flexible as and when required by the business. Pay is monthly in arrears. Full training will be provided. If you are offered a role, you will need to demonstrate that you are eligible to work in the UK. The Home Office provides guidance on what evidence to provide.
