About the role
Join our Waste & Recycling Team and help keep the University of Bath campus clean, safe and sustainable.
Your key responsibilities will include
- Collect and empty waste and recycling bins across campus.
- Transport and handle a range of waste streams safely and responsibly.
- Operate waste collection vehicles, compactors and recycling equipment.
- Support the day-to-day running of the Recycling Centre.
- Help improve recycling rates and support the University’s sustainability goals.
Working hours: Typically 8am-4pm, Monday to Friday, with some weekend working as required to meet operational needs.

About you
You will be
- Reliable, practical and safety-conscious.
- Comfortable working outdoors and undertaking physically active work.
- A positive team player with a flexible, can-do approach.
- Committed to delivering a high standard of service.
- Confident following health and safety procedures and using equipment safely.
- Organised, attentive to detail and committed to environmental sustainability.
Experience in waste management, recycling, vehicle driving or operating equipment such as compactors would be an advantage, but training will be provided.
