We're looking for an ambitious and passionate tennis coach who is motivated by developing young players and helping them realise their potential!

About the role

Working in a nationally recognised programme you will be coaching and developing players aged 10 and under, helping them progress from grassroots participation into county, regional and national performance programmes.

You will:

  • shape the future of player development at the University of Bath, designing and delivering a structured performance pathway that identifies talent, tracks progress and supports young athletes to reach their full potential.
  • work within a high-performance tennis environment in partnership with the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), collaborating with coaches, players, parents and TeamBath RPDC to create development opportunities for aspiring athletes.
  • drive programme growth and talent identification, building links with schools, camps and clubs, supporting promising young players across the region.

About you

Theidealcandidatewill:

  • have proven experience coaching performance junior tennis players and a track record of supporting athletes to progress to county, regional and, ideally, national standards.
  • bring a strong understanding of long-term player development and the LTA performance pathway, with the ability to design and deliver structured programmes that accelerate player progression.
  • be an excellent communicator who can build trusted relationships with players, parents, coaches and performance partners, providing clear feedback and guidance.
  • demonstrate a growth mindset, high personal standards and a commitment to continuous professional development, contributing positively to a collaborative performance culture.
  • be energetic, organised and proactive, with a passion for talent identification and the drive to help shape and grow one of the country's leading junior tennis pathways.

Minimum LTA Level 3 Coach Qualification is required.

Further information

This is a full-time role, working 36.5 hours per week week, however, at times the programme will require work at irregular and some unsociable hours, which may include evenings and weekends).
