About the role

This role is responsible for the administration of undergraduate funding awards which include the Bath Bursary, Gold Scholarship Programme and other philanthropic scholarships. This is a vital role in terms of the University’s commitments under its Access & Participation Plan and its objectives in terms of philanthropic and corporate fundraising.

You will be the lead administrator for all funding schemes and provide guidance and advice to applicants and current students. The role requires significant technical skill in relation to the administration and continuing development of the University’s Fund Manager system as well as other parts of the student records database, in relation to student funding. The ability to liaise professionally with a wide variety of people is also essential, together with the ability to understand and interpret complex legislation and financial award frameworks. As part of our reporting requirements to the Office for Students, you will lead on the evaluation, analysis and reporting of under-represented students supported by our bursary and scholarship awards.

You will work independently and collaboratively as a part of the Scholarships and Bursaries Team to ensure outcomes and objectives are met in line with our Access and Participation Plan.

Further information

We are willing to consider candidates who are able to work either full-time (1.0 fte) or part-time (0.8 fte). The role is offered on a fixed-term basis to cover secondment for a period of 7 months.
