This is a research‑intensive role with the expectation of significant contributions to research excellence and innovation, as well as teaching within your associated Department. - Clean Energy Industries: Hydrogen and biogas fuels, energy networks, environmental economics, green finance, ethical supply chains, and behavioural change.
- Digital and Technologies: AI and machine learning, cybersecurity, spatial intelligence, robotics, human‑computer interaction, and digital transformation.
- Life Sciences: Drug discovery, diagnostics, pain research, preventative healthcare, wearable biosensors, and public health surveillance.
- Professional and Business Services: Retail innovation, fintech, smart logistics, digital policy, and inclusive growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead research programs within one or more of the priority areas, with the freedom to shape your research agenda.
- Contribute to teaching within your Department and mentor and support research development and capacity building across the institution.
- Demonstrate internationally recognised research leadership within at least one priority area.
- Proven ability to secure major funding and translate research into real‑world impact.
- Provide strategic vision and leadership for large‑scale initiatives and interdisciplinary collaborations.
- Relocate to the UK as required; Bath offers a relocation and visa cost reimbursement scheme.
