About the role

We are looking for a hardworking, collaborative individual to join the Placements team within our Faculty on a part-time (0.8), open-ended basis. The successful candidate will support students from our undergraduate languages programmes. This role is vital for supporting students in preparing for and undertaking their placements or study exchanges overseas. You will act as a point of contact for students, staff, partners and employers, dealing with enquiries and providing guidance.

Key responsibilities will include the following:

  • Delivery of information sessions for students about key aspects of their year abroad and relevant employability skills
  • Management of relationships with international employers and partner Universities
  • Nomination and administration of students to international study exchanges
  • Visa and student finance guidance
  • Pastoral support to students overseas
