About the role

As ResLife Operations Manager, you will oversee the delivery of cleaning and portering services across a portfolio of university residences, ensuring high standards of customer service, safety, and operational efficiency. You’ll lead both the academic-year student accommodation operation and the summer commercial business, managing resources, budgets, and staff to deliver a seamless service. Working closely with colleagues across campus, you’ll play a key role in coordinating operations, improving processes, and acting as a duty manager during peak periods.

About you

You will be an organised and proactive leader with experience managing teams in a fast-paced operational environment, ideally within accommodation, hospitality, or facilities services. With strong communication and problem-solving skills, you can balance customer focus with financial and operational control. You’re confident managing people, driving performance, and handling complex situations, and you take pride in delivering excellent service while supporting staff development and fostering a positive, inclusive working environment.
