About us
The Department of Sports Development and Recreation at the University of Bath seeks to utilise the power of sport to foster the best environment to enable individuals to thrive. The Department manages and organises a range of activities under the University’s sports brand - Team Bath - and aspires to create a world leading multi-sport environment delivering to elite athletes, staff and students of the University and the local and regional community. Based in the inspiring £35m Sports Training Village, the Department offers a wide range of high quality sports activities, programmes, events, services and facilities catering for all ages and abilities. In addition, we are recognised by UK Sport as one of only eight Elite Training Centres, providing the training base for around 250 international level athletes. About the role
Whilst the work is varied and at times demanding, it is also very rewarding as you will be involved in supporting the delivery of a wide range of Team Bath Netball activities including:
- our Performance Pathway programme
- our network of Athlete Development Centres
- our thriving Holiday Camps and School visit programme
- our exciting NXT Gen match-days.
You will need strong IT skills, be highly organised and have the ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. The ability to work both independently and as part of a team will be required. The role requires the ability to manage and prioritise often complex and varied requests from different members of staff and customer groups to support the effective delivery of the Team Bath Netball Programme. You will need to be highly organised, adaptable and solution-focused, with the ability to help overcome challenges in a professional and approachable way. A solid understanding of the netball landscape - both regionally and nationally - will be critical to the success in this role.
Further information
This is a part-time role, working an average of 21.9 hours per week (0.6 fte) for a fixed-term period of 2 years. A Level 2 England Netball Coaching Qualification is desirable.
