We are looking for an Insight Analyst to advise and support the Education and Student Experience Leadership Team to inform decision making and help measure progress towards strategic objectives.
About the role
You will support a range of initiatives and frameworks including institutional preparation for the Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF), quality assurance processes, portfolio reviews, and horizon scanning. Specifically, the role will involve:
- Developing and maintaining a range of business intelligence reports for both strategic and operational purposes
- Producing analytical studies, reports, and papers – including insights and recommendations – for senior decision makers
- Benchmarking the University’s performance against its peers and competitors
You will be part of a small Analytics and Insights team, within the wider Department of Planning, Performance and Strategic Change, and will also collaborate with cross-functional teams and colleagues from across the university including other analysts, BI developers and data engineers.
About you
We are seeking a critical thinker with a curious mind and an ability to derive insights from complex datasets. The ability to analyse, interpret and present complex information in a clear and succinct manner will be essential for this role. Experience of data visualisation tools such as Power BI or Tableau will also be essential. The ideal candidate will have a degree level qualification in a relevant subject such as business analytics or data science and will have experience of working in the Higher Education sector.
