About the role

In 2026/27, the University of Bath is launching its new Inclusive Education framework and this role will play a vital role in ensuring anticipatory reasonable adjustments are available to all of our students consistently. This role is focused on disability-related inclusion, though its impact will be far wider.

Alongside academic and Professional Service colleagues, you will be supporting the framework's roll-out and organising the effective use of a variety of staff training resources across three faculties: Humanities and Social Sciences, Engineering & Design, and Science. You will also be key to the evolving monitoring and evaluation of the framework's implementation and impact by designing reporting that is accurate, efficient, scalable, and actionable.

Day-to-day, you may also be involved in the bulk remediation of course and learning materials, liaising with specialist services, process-improvement work, and sharing your expertise with others in formal settings such as committees, departmental fora, and institution-wide working groups.

What we’re looking for

  • Communicate confidently and clearly: They will be comfortable speaking to senior stakeholders, and individuals and large groups in-person and online. They will be able to write with fluency and accuracy for a variety of audiences and situations, communicating complex requirements effectively.
  • Work systematically and transparently: They will be highly organised and adept at using Office productivity software so that reporting and the allocation of training resources maximises its cost-effectiveness and impact. They will be comfortable with reporting engagement and compliance at individual, unit, course and department level.
  • Embrace and promote change: They will be resilient and recognise that colleague engagement with the framework may vary. They will be pro-active at following up data requests or non-responders with tact and persistence, escalating where necessary.
  • Want to work at scale: They will be passionate about achieving system-wide change by aligning inclusive education practice within a context of disciplinary and cultural difference across departments.
