About the Role

In this varied role, you’ll be involved in tasks across the entire employee life cycle, helping us deliver an exceptional recruitment service. You’ll play a key part in ensuring our processes run smoothly, providing high-quality administrative support to both colleagues and candidates. You’ll also have the opportunity to develop your HR knowledge and gain insight into good practice, all while working at the heart of a collaborative team.

What a Typical Day Might Look Like

  • Managing our shared inbox and responding to queries from hiring managers, external organisations, and employees.
  • Updating and maintaining our in-house HR database.
  • Collating and preparing information using Excel and MS Teams including relocation, visa and interview expense claims.
  • Ensuring all required documentation is collected to satisfy immigration compliance.
  • Supporting the Recruitment Team with a range of administrative tasks.
  • Helping coordinate the University’s annual Work Experience Programme.
  • Triaging general queries from hiring managers and HR colleagues.

About You

You’ll be someone who enjoys juggling multiple tasks, with strong interpersonal skills and a positive, professional approach. You’ll be confident dealing with colleagues at all levels and able to work independently when needed. While HR experience isn’t essential, excellent IT skills and strong written and verbal communication are a must.

Further Information

This post is part time, working 29.2 hours per week offered on a maternity cover fixed term basis until 03 May 2027 or the early return of the postholder. We operate a hybrid working model where you can work flexibly from home and the office. We are ideally looking for someone who is able to work a few hours each day, Monday to Friday. However, we are happy to be flexible where possible.
