We have exciting opportunities for a proactive and highly organised HR Advisor in the HR Service Delivery team to support the delivery of an efficient and effective ER service. You will join a busy advisory team who are responsible for providing clear, outcome-focused HR advice to line managers and individuals.
About the role
The role of HR Advisor at the University of Bath is a varied and interesting one working with a range of stakeholders based in Faculties and Professional Services Departments. You will work closely with the matrix team and HR Business Partners in order to deliver a timely and legally compliant service as well as working with our colleagues in Reward, Workforce Development, Culture and Inclusion and Safety, Health and Wellbeing. The aim of the role is to enable excellent people management practice and build the capability of individuals, teams and departments to meet the University’s and the department’s objectives. The role will support designated business areas, developing effective working relationships with key stakeholders, whilst working for and alongside HR Business Partners. The HR Advisor will support the delivery of the HR Strategy and work in such a way that supports pace, innovation and customer service in HR service delivery.
About you
- CIPD qualified or equivalent
- Effective knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice and its practical application appropriate to a generalist advisor role
- Proven experience of delivering outcome- and customer-focused HR advice and guidance
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Able to advise, support and coach managers to manage employee relations issues effectively.
Further Information
This role is offered on a full time (36.5 hours per week) fixed term basis with an expected end date of 31 July 2026. A minimum of two days a week on campus is required.
