About The Role
Join the renowned Faculty of Engineering & Design, celebrated for its research excellence and teaching quality. We are seeking a proactive and motivated Finance Officer to play a crucial role in managing our finances with a focus on development and improvement of financial processes and systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Faculty Finance Managers in operational financial management services across the faculty.
- Provide support by managing the faculty’s research budgets.
- Provide guidance to staff and students on the faculty’s purchasing and staff expenses.
- Support the Faculty Finance Managers with budget monitoring.
- Assist other finance team members as needed.
About You
- Be able to effectively prioritize conflicting demands.
- Be able to work independently and as part of an agile team.
- Have excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to advise and influence senior stakeholders.
- Have strong organisational and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and collaborative approach.
- Have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office applications to include Power Automate.
- Have experience of reviewing how things work, making them better, and putting improved processes in place that people can follow.
This is a full-time role although part-time hours (0.8fte) will be considered for the right candidate. We operate a hybrid working model with a mix of on-campus and remote work.
