This is a very exciting opportunity for an experienced operational support expert to join our vibrant, dynamic Faculty team!

About the role

Working within a collaborative team of four Department Operations Managers, you will provide high level operational support to departmental senior academic leadership in delivering University and Faculty strategic priorities at the local, department level. This includes oversight of the day to day operations of your nominated department/s as well as exciting projects in areas such as community and culture, staff wellbeing, internationalisation and events including Open Days and Offer Holder Days.

As a leader of our Department Support Hub Team, you will provide outstanding leadership to a team of highly dedicated administrative coordination staff and contribute proactively and collaboratively to our Faculty Team Managers Group.

To succeed in this dynamic role, you’ll need to be proactive, highly organised, and customer-focused, delivering top-quality support to stakeholders across the Department, Faculty, and University. You will be a change-driven, a team player and generous leader who inspires others to reach their fullest potential in support of our Faculty's world-leading academic endeavours in Architecture & Civil Engineering, Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering.

This role is offered on a part-time basis working 21.9 hours per week (0.6 FTE), for a fixed-term from September 2026 - July 2029. The hours can be worked over 3 or 4 days, however, due to the nature of the role you would need to be on campus at least two days per week.
