Established in January 2025, the Centre brings together researchers, practitioners, policy-makers and people with lived experience to improve the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people aged 12–25. The MHRG is funded until 31 December 2029 and works in partnership with the Universities of Bristol and Exeter through the GW4 network, alongside NHS, education, local authority and third-sector partners. Together, we undertake high-quality research that addresses the priorities of children, young people, families and the services that support them.

Our Department of Psychology is world-renowned for its excellence in research and teaching, regularly appearing in the top 5 in national league tables (e.g., The Complete University Guide). The department has a rapidly expanding Early Career Researcher community, who offer peer support alongside a broader university programme of professional development activities for research staff. The department resides in a new purpose-built £30 million building, containing 10,000 square feet of state-of-the-art labs for interview, social group observation, EEG/ERP, virtual reality, psychobiology, eye-tracking, pain, cross-modal, and computerised testing.

We are seeking a Centre Administrator to play a central role in supporting the successful operation of the Centre. Working closely with the Centre Manager, academic leads and professional services colleagues, you will provide high-quality administrative, financial and governance support across a wide range of activities including budget monitoring, stakeholder engagement, governance support, events, communications and Centre administration.
