The Strategic Projects Office Business Analyst will be a key member of the team, applying their expert business analysis capabilities within the University’s portfolio of strategic programmes and projects to help us deliver the benefits that will realise the University’s Strategy. This role will support, deliver and develop the integrated approach which links strategic objectives with the delivery of those objectives via programmes and projects.
About the role
As a permanent member of staff, you will be a key member of the team, applying your expert business analysis capabilities within the University’s portfolio of strategic programmes and projects to help us deliver the benefits that will realise the University’s Strategy. This role will support, deliver and develop the integrated approach which links strategic objectives with the delivery of those objectives via programmes and projects. You will work with and influence senior stakeholders across the University on the scoping, composition and analysis of the portfolio programmes and projects, benefits management, options analyses and providing relevant portfolio data. This information will support good governance, effective allocation of resources and comprehensive risk management. The aim is to deliver solutions through successful programmes and projects, offer assurance to underpin investment and promote effective benefits realisation.
We also have two fixed-term opportunities available for a period of 12 months to support a strategic programme of related initiatives that require further discovery work to find solutions to generate efficiencies and create capacity within the organisation. The BA role will work as part of the programme business analysis team to support discovery across a range of functions.
About you
To succeed in the role, you will:
- have a sound knowledge of business analysis methods and experience of applying them in a large, complex organisation.
- have skills and experience in business process mapping, using appropriate tools and techniques.
- be proficient at engaging with and influencing a range of stakeholders.
