Mississippi Power is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Chemical Technician Intern to join our team at Plant Daniel. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain water treatment plant equipment to produce demineralized water and service water for various plant applications.
- Conduct sampling of water, wastewater, and metal deposits.
- Perform analytical testing and monitor and sample plant effluents.
- Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
- Manage inventory of chemicals and laboratory consumables.
- Oversee the handling and transportation of bulk chemicals and unloading.
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a degree in chemistry or scientific field with at least 12 semester hours of chemistry.
