Job Description
To work with nursing leadership to direct nursing service activities in the operative setting for the duration of one shift and/or in the absence of the nurse manager. To provide professional nursing care for patients before during and after surgery. To support nursing leadership in the coordination of patient care personnel management physician / interdisciplinary collaboration and general administrative duties.
Qualifications
Associates degree in Nursing and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required. If working in OR PreOp or PACU certification is preferred especially with longevity in position based on work area. Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) by the Competency and Credentialing Institute (CCI) for OR. If working in PreOp certification as a Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN) or Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse (CAPA) by the American Board of Perianesthesia Nursing Certification (ABPANC) Inc. If working in PACU certification as a Certified Post Anesthesia Nurse (CPAN) by the American Board of Perianesthesia Nursing Certification (ABPANC) Inc.
