The University of Aberdeen is looking for three enthusiastic and motivated Undergraduate students to undertake the role of Summer Porter (11 weeks fixed term) within the Estates & Facilities Section.
Successful candidates will assist in the provision of a comprehensive logistics, mailing and portering service for the University for 36.5 hours per week Monday to Friday for a period of 11 weeks from Monday 9 June to Sunday 23 August 2026. They will be provided with a uniform, protective clothing and relevant training.
Responsibilities:- Assist in the delivery and collection of goods and mail.
- Move and handle furniture and equipment.
- Perform other related duties.
Qualifications:
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Physically able to undertake foot patrols and regular manual handling duties.
- Student status (Undergraduate).
- Appointment subject to satisfactory references.
Salary & Benefits:
Grade 1 salary scale Spinal Point 7 (£12.93 per hour) on a 36.5 hour week for the 11 week fixed term with pro rata leave also awarded.
