The University of Aberdeen Student Accommodation team is looking to appoint a Student Resident Assistant to join the existing team in University Halls owned accommodation based at Hillhead Student Village. SRAs play a key role in helping students settle in and have a positive university experience. They provide out of hours welfare support and organise a programme of activities to enable residents to get to know one another and enjoy cultural and social activities together. They provide a signposting service to both internal and external support agencies as appropriate and work closely with other University support services.
The post involves evening and night working and reports to accommodation Night Manager and Operations Manager. We are currently recruiting for a full-time position although we can look at 2 part-time roles instead and are flexible in seeking to match candidates desired working hours within the core hours of 6pm till 3am Sunday to Thursday and 6pm – 4am Friday and Saturday.
The successful candidates will be expected to provide initial pastoral support and a programme of community building activities to students living in halls of residence in order to enhance the overall student experience and support student wellbeing and independent living. Salary will be at the appropriate point on Grade 3, £25,255 - £26,707 with placement according to qualifications and experience.
