A Research Fellow is sought to join her team, to support an ambitious and timely research project which includes a diet intervention study to be conducted in the Human Intervention Studies Unit within the Rowett Institute. The research will focus on key research question , on how age and biological sex influence the health benefits of caloric restriction.
We seek to recruit an experienced, highly motivated post-doctoral fellow committed to a career in research, to work within a dynamic research group. You will have a PhD in Human Nutrition or in a relevant human health area. Particular skills and experience required include experience in conducting a diet-approach human intervention study, from ethics through to data reporting, working in a research team, managing a study master file and presenting research at local and national meetings. The successful candidate will be required to function as an outstanding post-doctoral fellow, running an independent project, leading to publications and presentations. The successful candidate will also be required to supervise more junior laboratory members. The position is funded through a MRC project grant award, and involves collaboration with colleagues at the University of Edinburgh.
Salary will be at the appropriate point on the Grade 6 scale, £37,999 – £40,247 per annum, pro rata and negotiable with placement according to qualifications and experience.
