The Go Abroad team is seeking a Go Abroad Assistant for a fixed‑term post running until 31 August 2026, with the possibility of extension beyond that date.
Key purpose: Provide high‑level administrative support to the University’s Go Abroad team for matters relating to study exchange and other centrally‑managed international opportunities for outgoing students.
Responsibilities:
- Support the coordination and administration of study exchanges across the globe.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with external audit requirements.
- Assist in processing student enquiries, registrations and updates to the system.
- Prioritise workload, communicate proactively with team members and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the smooth operation of the busy Go Abroad team through effective organisational practices.
Qualifications and skills:
- Quick learner, able to absorb and retain complex procedures and details.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and record‑keeping.
- Excellent organisational, prioritisation and time‑management abilities.
- Effective interpersonal and customer‑service skills; clear communicator.
- Motivated, flexible and experienced in an administrative setting.
Training: Full training will be provided on in‑house computer systems where necessary.
Salary: Grade 3 salary scale (£25,255 – £26,707 per annum), placed according to qualifications and experience.
