Overview

In this strategic leadership role, you will shape the university’s long-term direction through integrated planning, data-driven insight and governance. You will lead major change initiatives and ensure evidence-based decision making in partnership with senior leaders. The role sits within the Directorate of Strategic Planning & Corporate Governance and is central to delivering the Aberdeen 2040 plan. You will drive cross-functional collaboration, innovation in data use, and risk-aware strategic thinking to advance the university’s ambitions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for an integrated framework for strategic planning, data analysis and insight
  • Oversee delivery of significant projects and transformational change initiatives
  • Collaborate with senior university leaders to embed evidence, insight and governance into decision making
  • Develop and implement strategic planning frameworks and data-informed governance structures
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams and champion innovation in data and business intelligence
  • Strengthen strategic planning, risk management and transformational change capability
  • Shape the university’s future direction to meet long-term ambitions
  • Contribute to policy and institutional decision making at the highest levels

Key requirements
