An exciting opportunity has arisen for a passionate, enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join the Pain Management Service. Candidates will have an interest in pain management and a desire to develop their knowledge and experience to deliver high, safe, quality patient care.

The post holder will need to adopt a visible and accessible approach for patients, their relatives, carers and staff. They will be able to demonstrate post registration experience and level of clinical knowledge, positive leadership skills and evidence of on-going continuous professional development.

Suitable to offer training post at B5 progressing to B6 once qualifications and competencies achieved. The department is committed to staff development and offers a good competency based training package to enable progression from a Band 5 to Band 6 nurse in a timely manner.

As the main Tertiary Centre within the Tees Valley, candidates will have the opportunity to develop their nursing skills in an exciting multi-disciplinary environment. The post holder will work within the context of a supportive, comprehensive, multi-professional, specialist team but will be required to provide advice and support to patients and carers.

The post holder will be part of a team of 2 Specialist Nurses, 2 Neuromodulation Sisters, 1 Chronic Pain Sister and 2 Health Care Assistants.

Skills

After you complete these six and a half days of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities. We also offer a range of additional in-house and externally provided courses and bitesize programmes through our Leadership and Improvement Team.
