Job Overview

We welcome applications from band 7s looking to enhance or begin their careers in cancer services. Alternatively, if you are a band 6 with a minimum of 6 months hospital experience and working towards a post-graduate certificate, all you need is a keen interest in oncology. We can provide the opportunity for a 6 to 7 progression post based on the UHSussex Band 6-7 Clinical Rotational Progression Programme. Oncology experience is desirable but not essential. All necessary training will be provided as you rotate through adult and paediatric oncology and technical services.

Main Duties of the Job

  • Undertake 6-9 month rotations in adult oncology/haematology, aseptics, and paediatric oncology.
  • Facilitate and co-ordinate the delivery of direct patient care to paediatric and adult oncology patients.
  • Contribute to all aspects of clinical governance including clinical risk, clinical audit, and education and teaching.
