What You Will Do
- Measure, fit and apply custom orthopedic devices and OTS products.
- Able to effectively educate patients, family members and co-workers on DME products and orthopedic devices.
- Ability to interact positively with physicians, clients and co-workers.
- Effective and clear written, verbal and non-verbal communication, pleasant and effective telephone communication skills.
- Apply basic computer skills to proficiently use a variety of software applications such as Microsoft Office and Electronic Medical Records.
- Authorize/pre-cert insurance for orthopedic devices, initiate self-pay items as needed.
- Track, organize, restock and dispense inventory regularly.
- Take measurements/fit patients for functional/OA bracing when needed.
- Will move between the locations as scheduled for coverage.

- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all policies and standards.
- For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.
- Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
- Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.
