University Hospitals of North Midlands is currently unable to provide sponsorship for Band 2 and Band 3 roles. This aligns with UKVI guidelines and legislation, as these roles do not meet the skill or salary thresholds for sponsorship. If you hold a graduate visa, you are welcome to apply; however, UHNM will be unable to offer sponsorship at the end of your graduate visa. You must have at least six months remaining until your visa expires at the start of employment for training and operational reasons.
The role involves providing basic technical/clinical laboratory services and support, undertaking routine tests which may include sample collection, preparation, tissue handling, physiological measurements, and maintenance of laboratory equipment. - Tasks include sample receipt and preparation, operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment, and updating information systems.
- Work within the department’s policies and procedures, especially regarding health and safety and quality.
- Undertake reception duties as required.
- Support and guide Pathology Support Workers within the department.
- Be an efficient and flexible team member assisting in the delivery of services.
