Overview
The IQIPs Programme Manager in Audiology post requires a motivated individual with enthusiasm for service improvement and quality assurance. The postholder will use their skills and expertise in project management to support the attainment and maintenance of IQIPs accreditation in the Adult and Paediatric Audiology Services at UHNM.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate the accreditation process in conjunction with the Head and Deputy Head of Audiology, including gap analysis, planning and prioritisation of workload.
- Work closely with sub-specialty leads to provide evidence of compliance with national, local and regulatory standards and plan regular, relevant audits against IQIPs standards.
- Work autonomously at times, prioritising own workload and planning time with subspecialty teams to ensure effective collaboration.
- Ensure effective communication, liaising with colleagues locally and nationally to share best practice for the development of the departmental QMS and quality standards.
- Collate all project documentation including audits, patient feedback results and team training records and produce operational reports as required.
- Ensure that electronic information is maintained and stored in accordance with information governance policy and procedure.
- Perform thorough analysis of audiology quality systems and recommend and develop improvements accordingly.
- Investigate any breaches of standards, working with sub-specialty leads to seek resolution/improvement.
- The post holder may be required to support clinical activity, depending on experience and skill set.
- Utilise project management knowledge to evaluate processes and work toward accreditation within twelve months of commencement.
- Provide administrative support to sub-specialty leads for IQIPS and other improvement projects, which may require high levels of concentration for long periods.
- Take responsibility for the Quality Management IT System (QMS) and ensure its appropriate use in relation to the accreditation process.
- Ensure the team is kept aware of project progress and share best practice for departmental QMS and quality standards.
- Together with the Head and Deputy Head of Service, develop sustainable approaches to demand and capacity within the service.
- Perform thorough analysis of audiology quality systems and recommend and develop improvements accordingly.
- Investigate any breaches of standards, working with sub-specialty leads to seek resolution/improvement.
- Provide administrative support to Sub-specialty leads for IQIPS and other improvement projects, which at times will require high levels of concentration for long periods of time.
