University Hospitals of North Midlands is currently unable to provide sponsorship for this role. This is in accordance with UKVI guidelines and legislation, as these roles do not meet the skill nor salary threshold for sponsorship. If you hold a graduate visa, you are welcome to apply for this role; however, UHNM will be unable to offer sponsorship at the end of your graduate visa. You must also have at least six months remaining until your graduate visa expires at the start of your employment for training and operational reasons.

The Imaging Department is seeking motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join the Community X-ray team as Imaging Department Assistants on a full-time, part-time, or flexible basis.

In this vital support role, you will work alongside Radiographers and Assistant Practitioners at our current sites.

The community X-ray team covers four locations: Haywood Hospital, Leek Moorlands, Longton Cottage, and Cobridge Health Centre on a rotational basis. The successful candidate will be expected to work across all sites.

The Community Diagnostic Centre, anticipated to open in early 2026, will also be included in the community X-ray rotation.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to patient-centred care, possess excellent communication skills, and be adaptable to working across multiple locations as part of a supportive and professional team.

The duties are varied and include data input, reception duties, direct patient care, assisting Diagnostic Radiographers, maintaining stock in clinical areas, and departmental cleanliness. Successful candidates should be highly motivated, uphold the Trust’s values and promises, and have good organisational and IT skills.

Applicants must have previous experience of working in a caring environment and hold 5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including Maths and English.
