North Midlands and Cheshire Pathology Service (NMCPS) is seeking to recruit a Biomedical Associate Practitioner within the Staffordshire Anticoagulation Service.
The post holder will perform a range of routine and non-routine healthcare science tasks within Pathology, following Laboratory Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), including the Pathology Quality Policy. The role provides technical support to Biomedical Scientists (BMS) and Clinical Nurse Specialists to ensure high-quality service delivery in the relevant Pathology discipline.
Responsibilities include sample preparation, operation and maintenance of laboratory equipment, and updating information systems. The post holder will work within the department\’s Policies and Procedures, especially regarding Health and Safety and Quality, and assist with monitoring quality standards. The role involves supervising and allocating work to Pathology Support Workers and Medical Laboratory Assistants, and contributing as an efficient, flexible team member to support service delivery.
