Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and highly motivated Advanced Clinical Practitioner to work within the field of Ear, Nose and Throat at UHNM. The ACP will support the department in developing innovative pathways for ENT by learning key ENT skills such as nasendoscopy, ear examination and suctioning, and management of ENT emergency casualty clinic patients. This will be supported by the consultant workforce. Prior possession of these skills is desirable but not essential as they will be learned in the role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide advanced clinical practice as an integrated member of the multidisciplinary team within the ENT specialty at the University Hospital of North Midlands.
  • Exercise advanced clinical expertise, levels of judgment, discretion and decision-making in clinical care.
  • Work alongside the acute medical team and contribute to development of pathways and innovative approaches in ENT.
  • Collaborate with the consultant workforce and the Senior Divisional Nursing Team to support service improvements and patient care delivery.

Qualifications and Competencies

  • Demonstrated capability in ENT skills or willingness to learn; prior possession of ENT skills is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, forward-thinking team and challenge traditional ways of working to enhance patient experience.
  • Commitment to inclusive practice and to the values and culture of UHNM.
