Furness General Hospital Pharmacy department is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to become part of our team. You must be able to work as a team member and on an individual basis. Although pharmacy experience is not essential for this position, you must be willing to work towards an NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Services.
Hours of work are Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 13:00 to 18:00, with participation in rotational weekend and bank holiday rotas.
The main duties involve working in a busy pharmacy department to ensure a safe and effective service is provided. Responsibilities include:
- The safe and efficient delivery of medication to wards and departments, adhering to legislation, standards, and procedures.
- Packing, relabeling, replenishing emergency drug boxes, expiry date checks, reception duties, stock maintenance, stock rotation, tidying, cleaning, and waste disposal.
