Physiotherapy Assistant

The Medicine Therapy Team at Queens Hospital Burton has an opportunity for a Physiotherapy Assistant to join their team.

The post involves working within the Physiotherapy Team to provide assessment and treatment to patients across various Medical wards. The aim is to maximize independence and physical function in adult patients following their acute admission.

We are seeking a motivated, organized Physiotherapy Assistant to support patient care in an inpatient environment. The successful candidate must demonstrate flexibility in their working day, show initiative with their caseload, and be mindful of the wider team\’s needs and workload. Proven team skills and the ability to work independently are essential. A passion for helping patients recover and motivating them to reach their potential is also key. Basic IT skills are desirable for administrative duties.

Essential experience includes recent work in an inpatient care setting and handling adults\’ moving and handling. Good interpersonal and communication skills are required, along with the ability to motivate and encourage patients with physical needs.

The role involves working day shifts, lates, and weekends, for which enhancements are payable.
