An exciting opportunity has arisen within Florence Nightingale Community Hospital for a Physiotherapy Assistant (30 hours per week) to become an integral part of Neurology Outpatient Therapy Services (NOTS).
If you thrive on working with others in a hands on role whilst also working well independently to assist in the treatment of patient’s activities of daily living, promote functional independence and aid mobility issues, this may be the perfect role for you.
You will be an excellent communicator, able to manage your time effectively and must be passionate and enthusiastic about optimising patient outcomes., This post will offer you the opportunity to develop your skills in this clinical field within a supportive Multi-disciplinary team (MDT) (this can include: Occupational Therapy, Clinical Neuropsychology, Neurosplinting, Spasticity) in order to support neurology patients throughout different stages of their condition and rehabilitation. Your learning and development will be supported through completion of competency packages, regular supervision and training.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate an understanding of the role of the Physiotherapist and neurological rehabilitation and should have relevant experience of moving and handling adults.
There will be a number of non-clinical and administrative duties to support the team and a basic working knowledge of IT packages is essential.
