The Education and Training Department is seeking to recruit a clerical role to support delivery of the trust’s Work Experience and Widening Participation programmes.

As part of the Career Development and Apprenticeship Team, this administration role will coordinate and project support a range of widening participation initiatives with the aim of attracting people into the NHS from disadvantaged backgrounds and minority groups.

The Work Experience and Widening Participation Officer will provide clerical, administrative and project support to the following programmes:

  • Work Experience Programm

  • T-Level Students and Placement

  • UHD Ready to Start Academy

  • Functional Skills/Literacy and Numeracy Programmes

  • Introduction to Healthcare Taster Day

  • Higher Development Award

The Education and Training Department has two physical education centres; one at Poole Hospital and one at the Royal Bournemouth hospital.

This role will sit in the Career Development and Apprenticeship Team that focus on providing development opportunities for our current workforce, and supporting those to joint he NHS family.

The day to day tasks in this role will include:

  • Being the named contact for work experience enquiries,

  • Data entry and database management

  • Preparation of teaching resources and registers

  • Answering enquiries and monitoring shared inbox accounts

  • Booking and coordinating rooms and timetable arrangements

  • Liaising with placement areas

  • Liaising with schools and colleges

  • Completing documentation and risk assessments for work experience students

  • General clerical duties
