The UHD radiology department are seeking full time Radiology IT Systems Administrator to provide continuity of radiology specific IT services. They will be based within the radiology department at Poole hospital and will work alongside the radiology IT systems team, clinical staff (including radiographers, sonographers, doctors and nurses), and other professionals within the Trust., The successful candidate must be well organised, self-motivated and enthusiastic to learn the unique complexities of IT in a modern radiology department.

It is essential that the candidate has both knowledge and experience of working with IT systems. This will be the foundation for their extensive in-house training which will ultimately equip them to undertake the following duties:

o To be a point of contact for a variety of pre-defined problematic situations, and to exercise the necessary skills to resolve those situations autonomously.

o To ensure escalation procedures are adhered to whenever problems remain unresolved.

o To control the electronic transfer of radiology examinations in and out of the Trust.

o To create and control the user accounts for various IT systems.

This 37.5 hours per week role are spread across Monday to Friday and the expectation is the starting time is 8:30am. However, flexibility on starting times are negotiable.

There is no requirement for weekend or night-time work, and remote working is not an option.
