We are recruiting for a Band 3 Coordinator/Administrative Assistant to join our Interim Care Team at University Hospitals Dorset (UHD).

Our well-established and highly regarded team provides an early supported discharge service across two sites: Bournemouth Hospital and Christchurch Hospital. We support patients who are ready to leave the acute hospital setting but require additional help to regain and optimise their independence at home.

The service is therapy- and nursing-led, with a multidisciplinary team that includes Coordinators, Community Therapy Assistants, Occupational Therapists, and Nurses. Within the team, we currently have one Band 4 Coordinator and two Band 3 Coordinators.

The post holder will report to the Clinical Leads for both the Interim Care Team and the Discharge Team. The role is central to coordinating discharges from UHD hospitals and supporting the delivery of a high-quality service. Key responsibilities include managing core administrative tasks such as data collection, handling telephone and email enquiries, and ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of the service. The post holder will play an important role in providing a professional, responsive, and supportive service to colleagues, partner organisations, patients, and their families.

Some weekend working may be required.
