Detailed job description and main responsibilities

Lead the production of the Group monthly management accounts using the general ledger system (INTEGRA) within the timescales determined by the Trust.

The post will work with the Senior Head of Group Finance to plan and co-ordinate work activities across Specialty Groups / Directorates. It will provide financial advice to managers and ensure the availability of relevant information to provide accurate forecasts of potential future activities.

Ensure that there is a rigorous process of the production of the final monthly positions and year-end forecasts to ensure that all financial forecasts are operationally owned and understood. They must ensure any risks are highlighted to the Senior Head of Group Finance.

Actively providing financial advice to the Group Management and Clinical Directors of the Specialty Groups / Directorates, to formulate the strategic direction to ensure that resources are effectively utilized to enable the Specialty Groups / Directorates to meet its objectives within available resources.
