The Resourcing Department are looking for an enthusiastic Senior Resourcing Assistant to join the team. To assist in the provision of a quality, customer-focused, end to end recruitment administration service to meet the needs of allocated Speciality Groups, Departments and to support in the intake of candidates in accordance with Department and Trust guidelines, policies or procedures. The post-holder will co-ordinate and support, under the supervision of the Resourcing Officers the administration of assessment centres and recruitment. Working closely with the Resourcing Management team and Recruitment Managers the post holder will ensure the provision of a comprehensive, professional, high quality and cost effective recruitment service. The post holder will lead the administration of processes and procedures, ensuring robust auditing processes are in place to achieve compliance with and adherence to employment legislation, guidance and best practice.

Responsibilities
- Undertake the administration of end to end recruitment activity of all staff joining the Trust. This includes, but is not limited to, the administration of advertisements, short-listing and interview processing, preparation of offer of employment letters, completion of pre-employment checks, the preparation of the contract of employment, the completion and administration of new starter processes.
- Co-ordinate and facilitate assessment centres as instructed by the Resourcing Officers, this may include candidate documentation checking, participating in interviews and assessment scoring.
- Ensure a strong focus on exemplar customer service and the building of effective relationships with recruiting managers, applicants and colleagues.
- Carry out any additional checks which have been locally agreed to expedite recruitment e.g. risk assessments.
- Proactively follow up outstanding employment check clearances, regularly keeping recruitment managers and applicants abreast of progress.
- Manage your own workload in accordance with the trac recruitment management system, such as moving vacancies to shortlisting and setting up interviews, issuing offer letters etc. to ensure all activity meets agreed key performance indicator (KPI) targets. Escalate where appropriate.
- Ensure the effective prioritisation and completion of own work in accordance with deadlines and agreed Standard Operating Procedures.
- Be the first point of contact for pre-employment check queries from employees, managers and applicants, ensuring accurate and timely response.
- Ensure new starter documentation is checked for completeness and accuracy, follow up queries as necessary, ensure resolution within set deadlines.
- Action higher salary justification requests for new starters in accordance with process and prepare relevant documentation to support decision making.
- Maintain ESR, trac recruitment management system with all information connected to recruitment processes, such as short-listed candidates, and ensure all recruitment is completed in line with Trust Policy and Procedure and relevant Employment Legislation.
- Provide specialist advice and guidance on recruitment processes in place within the Trust.
- Investigate and resolve queries and complaints received from recruiting managers, applicants and other stakeholders for the recruitment process, escalating to the Resourcing Officer/Resourcing Team Leader where required.
- Regularly review and develop Standard Operating Procedures to identify improvements and efficiencies in processes and ensure effective communication to embed into practice.
- Work collaboratively with, and support the Recruitment Leads for International Recruitment, and Nurse Recruitment and Flexible Workforce Lead and other project leads relating to recruitment.
- Be responsible for ensuring active social media presence and monitor and report effectiveness.
- Where instructed, oversee the work of the Resourcing Assistants and provide training and support in the course of their duties.
