The appointee will contribute to the training, supervision, and mentorship of junior doctors and allied healthcare professionals, and provide expert advice and support to consultant colleagues. The Trauma and Orthopaedics Department at UHCW has experienced a sustained increase in both trauma workload and elective referrals. In order to meet service demands, maintain compliance with national targets including the 18-week referral-to-treatment pathway, and support ambulatory and major trauma pathways, the Trust is seeking to strengthen its consultant workforce.
This post offers an excellent opportunity to work within a busy tertiary centre, contributing to both trauma and elective orthopaedic services, while supporting innovation, service development, and high standards of patient care. Depending on your level of exposure with patients you may be required to undertake a Standard or Enhanced DBS. The cost of this check will be charged to you and will be deducted from your salary over the first 3 months of employment at the current rate.
