Full-time appointment clerk to provide a comprehensive appointment booking service within a timely and efficient manner. Training for the Tiara appointment system will be provided with ongoing support from the System Manager.
Responsibilities
- Deal with referrals to the physiotherapy department to ensure appointments are offered as quickly as possible and, when necessary, refer to clinical staff to prioritise.
- Administer the outpatient appointment system for physiotherapy, including booking appointments, arranging transport, and recording information on the TIARA Management Information system.
Qualifications
Essential
- Recent and demonstrable experience of working with and communicating with a wide variety of people and the general public.
- Computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft Word, Office and other programmes (e.g., Excel).
- Good standard of general education with GCSE English and Maths (grade C/4-9) or equivalent; good oral, verbal and written communication skills with clear handwriting.
- Good (and proven) communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work within a team; good telephone manner; good organisational skills.
Desirable
- Experience of working in a hospital or healthcare environment.
- Familiar with SystmOne/iPMS waiting lists/PTLs/RTT coding; additional IT qualifications such as ECDL or OCR I are beneficial.
