Overview
Consultant ENT Surgeon with an interest in Otology or Paediatrics. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a forward-thinking, supportive department. Part time or flexible working will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Provide general otology or paediatric services, covering elective work and participate in the general ENT on-call rota (currently 1 in 7).
- Manage a diverse adult and paediatric otology caseload. A Fellowship in Otology or equivalent consultant-level experience is essential.
- Be integral to the assessment and management of patients with balance disorders, with access to balance function tests and vestibular rehabilitation services, and collaboration with a vestibular physiotherapist and a part-time audiologist with a special interest in balance disorders.
- Involve in general ENT work and participate in the on-call rota where applicable; work with multidisciplinary teams across the Trust and associated sites as detailed in the job plan.
- Contribute to paediatric ENT care, including management of general and complex paediatric cases, elective and emergency paediatric airway care, and liaison with tertiary referrals from the wider region.
Qualifications
- Fellowship in Otology or equivalent consultant-level experience is essential.
- Experience managing ENT conditions in children with complex medical needs or syndromes.
