An exciting opportunity has arisen for dynamic and flexible individuals to join our team of Neuroimaging Radiologists at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. There are three posts; two are posts arising out of the centralisation of acute stroke services for Coventry and Warwickshire at UHCW. The Trust is also in the process of developing a large Community Diagnostics Centre in Coventry City Centre, which will include CT and MRI.
We are one of the UK’s largest teaching Trusts, serving a population of up to 1.5 million people as a dedicated neurosciences centre and Level 1 Trauma Centre.
You will have expertise in Neuroimaging and will provide specialist diagnostic neuroimaging including MRI and CT angiography, participate in the acute and on-call rotas, and support a range of specialist MDTs.
We are the principal Teaching hospital for Warwick Medical School, and opportunities exist for increased research collaboration with Warwick University. You will be provided with home PACS for remote viewing of diagnostic imaging.

Main duties of the job
- To provide, in collaboration with clinical and Radiology colleagues, Radiology services to patients in Coventry, Rugby, and the surrounding districts.
- To work with the existing Radiologists to deliver the department’s activity. This will include ensuring that all appropriate waiting lists and waiting times are adhered to, that services are provided in an effective and efficient manner, and that the principles of risk management and clinical governance are maintained at all times.
- To support multi-disciplinary team meetings.
- To develop an academic and research interest (individuals with specific specialist skills are welcome to add those to the Trust’s imaging scope).
