Working in a small team in Trust Headquarters, this role supports the busy central print room. The print room provides an essential service to the whole organisation, ensuring clinical and non-clinical teams have a reliable supply of printed documents and patient information leaflets in a timely and cost-effective way. The postholder will be responsible for carrying out printing and finishing, advising customers, ordering and receiving materials, taking calls and welcoming visitors to Trust HQ. The role will be supported by a Print Room and Reception Supervisor.
Main duties of the job
To liaise with wards, clinical staff, and Trust support staff via telephone, Outlook, Teams and in person as and when necessary.
To show a caring and professional approach towards visitors when carrying out reception duties.
Escalate printing issues, capacity problems and general reception issues to the print room supervisor as appropriate.
Provide, process and receive routine information relating to the role’s print and reception duties.
Work with the Print Room and Reception Supervisor to achieve and maintain services SLAs and KPIs.
Regularly achieve the required performance levels as agreed in personal objectives.
Utilise skills relating to the use of printer hardware and software.
Manage printer faults, repairs and consumables to avoid impact on the print service.
Plan and organise own workload, adjusting as necessary to meet the demands of others’ activities or a change to service demand
