Role Overview:
A full-time and part-time substantive role has arisen for a qualified and enthusiastic Physiologist to join our Lung Function Department within Respiratory Medicine at Bristol Royal Infirmary.
The ideal candidate will hold a BSc in Clinical Physiology or equivalent, have completed ARTP Parts I & II or equivalent, and possess relevant experience in a Lung Function Department.
This role involves clinical investigations, deputising for Lead Respiratory Physiologists, service development, supervision, and education of staff and students. Flexibility, initiative, teamwork, attention to detail, and collaboration with healthcare professionals are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct technical and clinical assessments including spirometry, lung volumes, transfer factor, exercise tests, nitric oxide tests, skin prick tests, and more.
- Collaborate with colleagues to meet healthcare needs.
- Deputise for Lead Respiratory Physiologists when required.
- Participate in quality assurance, audits, research, and development.
