Overview
University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust invite applications for a post-CCT fellowship in thoracic Imaging.
Responsibilities
- The fellow would work with two dedicated and experienced thoracic radiologists to cover specialist reporting in thoracic imaging.
 - Would be expected to partake in regular image guided interventions such as lung biopsies and pleural drains on both inpatient and outpatient setting.
 - There may also be the opportunity to gain experience in interventional neck ultrasound and coronary CT reporting.
 - There is a Lung cancer MDT weekly and a weekly non-cancer chest radiology meeting covering ILD and Fungal disease amongst others which the fellow would be encouraged to partake in.
 - UHBW is a regional centre for adult extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and the fellow would also be strongly encouraged to partake in the weekly ICU/ECMO meeting.
 - There would be provision for one session of acute CT reporting (Hub session) per week and a plain film or general ultrasound session per week. The remaining sessions would be for specialist work.
 - There will be opportunities to assist with audit, service improvement projects and ongoing research in the Unit.
 - Funded for a period of 12 months, with the opportunity to be part of the adult/ paediatric radiology registrar on call rota, depending on numbers of rotating registrars on the Severn radiology scheme.
