Do you possess an up-to-date knowledge of legislation and regulations relating to all aspects of planning, construction and good working practices? Have you got experience of Estates Statutory and Mandatory requirements, with an emphasis on fire engineering? Are you looking for your next step?
This role will assist with all of aspects of estates maintenance in relation to fire compliance. This includes the organising and reporting on planned preventative maintenance activities relating to statutory and mandatory requirements as stated in legislation, regulations, British standards and health technical memorandum.
You will proactively manage contracts, outsourced contractors and in-house direct labour that relates to compliance and reactive maintenance activities.
Your Role Will Include
- Assist with those delivering new capital developments, both operational and strategic, to ensure that the impact on existing fire related assets, installations and the design of new ones is appropriate and is optimal for the future performance of the estate.
- Under the direction of the Senior Estates Officer (Fire) assist with the fire compliance improvement function in the Estates Department. Working with the Operations Managers, to ensure that the department provides a responsive, efficient and effective service, using both contract and direct labour.
- Assist with planned preventative maintenance programmes (e.g. fire alarm testing and maintenance) reviewing these regularly to ensure that statutory, mandatory and best practice is observed and that they are safe, efficient and effective in operation. Monitor and report reactive maintenance undertaken, and to assist in understanding asset performance, using external contractors and in house labour as required.
