An exciting opportunity has become available in Lymington Eye Outpatients for a Band 4 Associate Practitioner. This is a full time position. Lymington Eye Outpatients provide a positive work life balance with clinics currently running from Monday-Friday with an 8am-6pm shift pattern.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who demonstrates great professionalism and has leadership skills they would like to further develop. The successful candidate will carry out a wide range of roles & responsibilities that includes:

  • Visual acuity assessment
  • Measure intra-ocular pressures
  • Instil eye drops when needed
  • Assisting the clinicians in running laser list
  • Operate various imaging equipment

We also support clinics at our Main Ophthalmology site in Southampton General Hospital, so some off site working will be required. Although this is an Ophthalmology outpatients position, knowledge and experience in Ophthalmology is not essential - training can be provided. Strong leadership skills will be a positive.
