Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver stimulating lessons that inspire a love of learning in our pupils.
  • Assess pupil progress and provide regular feedback to support their development.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of the music curriculum.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the Trust to share best practices and ensure consistency in teaching and learning.
  • Run co-curricular Able, Gifted and Talented and/or support activities as may be required, including entering external competitions.
  • Participate in continuous professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest pedagogical approaches and technological advancements.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Degree in a relevant subject.
  • Proven experience in teaching music.
  • Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the latest curriculum and assessment requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
  • Commitment to promoting the safeguarding and well-being of children.

Desirable Qualities

  • Experience in leading or coordinating digital and computing initiatives within a school setting.
  • Familiarity with a range of educational technologies and their effective integration in the classroom.
  • Ability to provide professional development and support to other teachers in the use of digital tools.
  • Passion for staying up-to-date with the latest trends and innovations in the field of educational technology.
