Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver stimulating lessons that inspire a love of learning in our pupils.
- Assess pupil progress and provide regular feedback to support their development.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of the music curriculum.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the Trust to share best practices and ensure consistency in teaching and learning.
- Run co-curricular Able, Gifted and Talented and/or support activities as may be required, including entering external competitions.
- Participate in continuous professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest pedagogical approaches and technological advancements.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Degree in a relevant subject.
- Proven experience in teaching music.
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the latest curriculum and assessment requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
- Commitment to promoting the safeguarding and well-being of children.
Desirable Qualities
- Experience in leading or coordinating digital and computing initiatives within a school setting.
- Familiarity with a range of educational technologies and their effective integration in the classroom.
- Ability to provide professional development and support to other teachers in the use of digital tools.
