About the Role
As Assistant Headteacher (Maths), you will be a pivotal leader within UCS Bolton and the wider Trust. You will lead the maths curriculum across Key Stages 3 to 5, inspiring pupils and staff alike to achieve excellence. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and continuously developing a broad, balanced, and engaging maths curriculum that meets the needs of all pupils
- Driving high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment through evidence-based approaches
- Managing the provision for GCSE Maths resits, ensuring every pupil has the opportunity to succeed
- Supporting the school’s culture of professionalism, high expectations, excellent behaviour, and safeguarding
- Acting as a mentor for early career teachers and contributing to whole-school leadership and strategy
- Playing a key role in implementing the Trust’s values-led approach and strategic objectives
